Condition: This original 1937 movie poster exhibits strong colors and an image that is presentable for display. It has been restored and linen backed. The flaws that exist do not adversely or significantly detract from the main image. The prior fold lines are visible, but the linen backing and rolling of the poster has to a certain degree alleviated the Fold lines. There is some very minor loss of color on the center horizontal fold on the right side of the poster (in the green area), but it is not that noticeable unless under closer inspection. And there are some scuff marks in the brown areas of the poster which occur along the poster's edge/border at the bottom right, top middle, and middle left of the poster, possibly a few other very minor spots. These scuff marks, again, are not readily noticeable unless one takes a closer look. The main image is still strong. There are no pin holes, no tears, and no tape or tape residue. There is no loss of paper. Please review the photos carefully.

to promote this movie when it was released in 1937.   This poster is not a reprint nor a reproduction. The Grand National restriction clause on use of the poster appears at the bottom left of the poster. The movie stars

, Peter Gawthorne, Henry Kendall, Leon M. Lion, and John Turnbull. It was directed by Alfred Zeisler.
This restored movie poster is Rolled and linen backed and measures 21.75" x 28". With linen backing, it measures 26" x 32".
Prior to linen backing it had been Folded.
Most original movie posters pre 1985 are Folded. This is not considered a flaw or defect.
This original movie poster is graded C8, Very Fine, which is its post-restoration grade.
Original movie posters are graded as follows from the top down: C10 (Mint), C9 (Near Mint), C8 (Very Fine), C7 (Fine/Very Fine), C6 (Fine or Very Good), C5 (Good to Very Good), C4 (Good), etc.
Prior
to restoration this poster was graded a C6, with minor tears,
fold wear, fold separations, creases, paper loss, and minor surface scuffs and scratches.
Restoration and linen backing have alleviated most of these flaws and significantly reduced the severity of those that remain (as described above). It is now ready for immediate framing and display. The fold lines are the most noticeable of the few flaws, but generally they do not detract from the overall appearance of the poster's image. The poster is almost 80 years old and looks superb.
