Vintage Tomato or Peach Head Vegetable Doll Precious! Anthropomorphic

Description

There's age related soiling and fading, but this doll is still so lovely.  She's a vintage tomato or perhaps peach head doll that I suspect is from Italy....possibly a Lenci. No tag. Age unknown. Painted facial features. The hand that holds what is left of a book has a tiny tear. There's also a 1/3" section of the skirt trim that's come unstitched. She measures about 5 x 5"  Please see photos.
